Earlier this month, the highly successful 2015 Sellstate Leadership Summit came to a conclusion with attendees left breathless by the quality and quantity of material provided. The event was hosted at the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina in Fort Myers, Florida, from November 4th and 5th. With the guest list that consisted of Sellstate’s top leaders including managers, brokers, and owners; alongside corporate leadership and prominent event sponsors, the atmosphere at the event was marvelous. The agenda for the two day event focused on the key areas of operating a successful real estate office. Guests enjoyed the excellent opportunity to network among Sellstate leaders from around the country while sharing their best tips and strategies. The 2015 Sellstate Leadership Summit also served as a platform that highlights the vision and future plans of the best system in real estate.
The first day opened with a brief opening speech from Neil Cresswell, Sellstate President; followed by a keynote by Arthur Darmanin, Chief Operating Officer. The nearly 2-hour session highlighted on Sellstate’s highly anticipated Career Acceleration Program. The Career Acceleration Program is designed to get new agents up to speed and established in real estate in eight short weeks. This propriety program is also fantastic for agents who want to boost their career.

Following the well-received Career Acceleration Program, Neil Cresswell, President, explored a thought-provoking discussion on how leaders can actively influence their office’s productivity. Chris Sorenti at Homes.com provided an excellent presentation on the company’s growing value and their key strategic partnership with Sellstate Realty; they also revealed some exciting new features that are coming soon for our agents and offices. Neil and Taylor Cresswell, the dynamic father and son real estate team, provided an excellent back-to-back session on local branding and recruiting. To conclude the first day, Homes.com hosted a group dinner at the resort’s restaurant. Attendees enjoyed a superb dining experience while networking with fellow Sellstate leaders in a relaxed environment.

The following day started off strong once again with Bill Steinke, VP of Franchise Development, showcasing how leaders can take responsibility and action within their office space. He demonstrated the capability and simplicity of Power Suite’s customizable websites. With just a few clicks, guests were shown how to optimize their career pages to capture more agent leads. Neil Cresswell came back for another riveting presentation on proper lead generation and incubation. The attendees were then provided several strategies to leverage their social media platforms for lead generation. After lunch, Shannon Reeves, Director of Industry Relations at Zillow Group, shared how the company’s recent acquisition of Trulia has truly enhanced Sellstate’s strategic alliance and value. Sellstate is now able to provide an even greater consumer reach to our excellent members. Shannon provided some insight on future products and thoroughly answered many questions from our company’s leaders.
Following our technology-focused sessions, our attendees were then given some time to discuss ideas among their groups on how to utilize technology that’s available to them to improve and grow their offices. Michael Darmanin, COO, emphasized the importance of using statistics to enhance an office’s market advantage. Elaborating on the book How to Lie with Statistics, Michael shows how the use of appropriate data can assist an office to hire productive agents. The final session of the event was a very important one – Neil Cresswell, President, lead a powerful session on charity and giving back to the local community. Our company’s leaders were ecstatic about the opportunity to make a lasting change in their cities.

Art Darmanin, CEO, gave his closing speech that highlighted the company’s successes and plans for the future. Greg Kelly, manager and owner of Sellstate Next Generation, was awarded the Leadership Award for the 2nd year in row for his office’s stellar performance. Rob Duncan, owner of Sellstate Group Realty, was awarded the Spirit Award for his office’s amazing charitable contribution. Arthur’s enthusiasm for the future of the company was infectious as attendees displayed their excitement for what Sellstate has in store.
